SMART APPROACH RECOVERY, LLCIntroduces

RecoveryRx®

Now available in Wisconsin, RecoveryRx® is an innovation in drug-free pain and edema management. RecoveryRx is a class II, USA FDA-cleared, non-thermal shortwave therapy device which utilizes external radio-frequency electromagnetic energy to modulate nerve activity. When used adjunctively, RecoveryRx has been found to reduce musculoskeletal, post-injury and post-operative pain and the consumption of pain medication, including opioids. RecoveryRx is non-invasive and has no known side effects. Each unit delivers 720 hours of paresthesia-free therapy allowing for 24/7 use. It can be used pre-surgery as well. MECHANISM OF ACTIONThe device emits a safe, pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) that penetrates deeply into body tissues, but cannot be felt by the user. This PEMF therapy can significantly alter cellular activity in the affected area by:- Increasing afferent sensory nerve activity (high threshold A-alpha and A-beta nerves). The CNS perceives this stimulus as increased afferent noise which results in habituation, raising pain threshold levels and thus reducing perceived pain faster than the standard of care + placebo.- Activating the natural inflammatory reflex which is known to inhibit inflammation leading to less pain and edema resulting in optimal healing and recovery.

NON-OPIOID PAIN RELIEF

Clinical Use

Working as an adjunct therapy, RecoveryRx® adds another dimension to multimodal approaches to pain management improving patient comfort. RecoveryRx® has been clinically shown to significantly reduce pain and postoperative pain and the use of narcotic pain medication postoperatively, potentially reducing the incidence of adverse side effects associated with these drugs.RecoveryRx is widely used to treat pain in a wide array of medical applications, including musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, edema, postoperative pain and the promotion of wound healing. These claims are backed by an extensive list of clinical publications and research.

IT WORKS!

PROVEN HISTORY

RecoveryRx has been shown to have a number of therapeutic effects. These include reducing inflammation, increasing wound tensile strength, vasodilation, promoting angiogenesis and reducing postoperative pain. These effects result in a decreased need for postoperative pain medication and promotion of wound healing. This PEMF technology has a 20 year proven track record of success in the U.S. and multiple countries around the world treating all types of pain. Thousands have benefited and it's now available in WI for pain, post-op pain and post-injury recovery.

MOST RECENT CASE SYNOPSES"These cases demonstrate that following knee and hip arthroplasty, the use of pulsed shortwave therapy devices is feasible in both the in- and out-patient settings and may improve analgesia while decreasing—perhaps sometimes obviating—opioid consumption." "These cases suggest that pulsed electromagnetic field therapy may be an effective treatment for intractable postamputation pain. Considering the low patient burden of noninvasive, wearable devices, combined with few contraindications and no significant side effects or adverse events, further study with a randomized, controlled trial is warranted." "Following moderately painful ambulatory umbilical (n=3) and inguinal (n=2) hernia repair as well as bilateral breast surgery (n=2),patients had taped over their incision(s) 1 or 2 nonivasive, wearable, disposable, pulsed shortwave therapy devices (RecoveryRx)which functioned continuously for 30 days. Average resting pain scores measured on the 0-10 numeric rating scale were a median of 0 during the entire treatment period. Six patients avoided opioid use entirely, while the remaining individual required only 5 mg of oxycodone during the first postoperative day."
